Illimar Paul

b. 1945,

Illimar Paul studied graphics at the Tallinn Art University between 1966 and 1968. He continued his studies in Germany at the Leipzig High School of Graphics and Book Art between 1968 and 1971.

Since 1975 he has been a member or the Estonian Artists’ Union.

Illimar engages himself in making prints (especially hand-printed silkscreen technique), watercolours, posters and book designs.

He has participated in over 200 exhibitions in Estonia and abroad in 25 different countries and has had 24 one-man shows between 1972 and 1998 including shows in Moscow, Russia; Tokyo, Japan; Magdeburg, Neuwittenbek, Germany; and Toronto, Canada.
