Framing

Works on paper are by their nature more delicate than, for instance, works on canvas. It is very important that the paper is handled correctly as damaged paper cannot usually be repaired. All of our staff are trained and experienced in handling works on paper. We are very happy to send work to you unframed and we will take every precaution to ensure safe delivery but we cannot, in those circumstances, be responsible for any damage. We would prefer that you order mount board and frames when purchasing a work. That way we can be confident that the work is properly cared for in the process of mounting and framing. You will see that we offer a range of natural wood frame types. If you would prefer something that is not on the list, please feel free to contact us and we will do our best to meet your requirements.

Mountboard

Your choice of mountboard for works on paper is extremely important. All of the mountboards we offer are acid free conservation or museum quality. This will ensure that the work does not become discoloured in years to come. Conservation board is 100% virgin fibre, free of any groundwood or lignin. Museum board is made from pure cotton. Please contact us if you would prefer a mountboard that is not on our list.
