Kristian Krokfors

Born in Ylistaro, Finland in 1952. He studied Art at the University of Industrial Arts in Helsinki, Finland and at Leicester Polytechic, England and in 1978 went on to complete the Advanced Printmaking Course at Croydon College of Art. In 1985 he was nominated Finland's Young Artist of the year, with a major exhibition at Tampere Art Museum, and is now one of Finland's most renowned contemporary artists. In 1999 he returned to the Pratt Contemporary Art studios to produce a new series of screenprints, Study 1-4, Red Andalucia and Coloured Andalucia. Following periods of living in London and New York, he now lives and works in Helsinki.
