Elizabeth Blackadder

Elizabeth Blackadder was born in Falkirk, Scotland in 1931. She studied at Edinburgh University and Edinburgh College of Art gaining an M.A.Hons. Fine Art Degree 1949-55. Subsequently she taught at Edinburgh College of Art from 1962 until her retirement in 1986.

She is a Royal Academician, Royal Scottish Academician, Member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour, Member of the Society of Scottish Artists, Member of the Royal Glasgow Institute, and Member of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland.

Elizabeth Blackadders' art captures the light, intensity, and vivid color of flowers, landscapes, and still lifes.
