Cliona Doyle

Cliona Doyle was born in 1968. She attended NCAD from 1987-1991, graduating with an honours degree in Fine Art Printmaking. She has worked with carborundum prints and etchings dedicated to various floral themes.

She is a member of the Graphic Studio Dublin. She has featured in numerous group exhibitions including Works on Paper at the Rubicon Gallery 1994, Spanish Arch Galway 1995/96. Recently she had a very successful solo show at the Original Print Gallery in Dublin.

All the plates for these etchings are made by drawing directly from life, in one sitting. This gives Cliona Doyle's prints there characteristic energy and sense of place. In the best tradition of botanical art, these prints transform natural forms into pure, astract composition.
